We specialize in providing chickens for small flock owners. We focus on breeds in our breeding program that have good traits such as:
1) Cold hardiness for Wisconsin winters,
2) Temperment to match existing flocks or beginner flock owners,
3) Predator alertness,
4) Getting the "rainbow" of colored eggs in the collection basket,
5) Egg productivity,
6) Cosmetic appeal of feathers and patterns.
Our chickens do well in small urban flocks and out in the country throughout Wisconsin. We seasonally offer live birds and chickens.
On occasion we have farm direct chicken meat available. Farm direct eggs are seasonally offered for local pickup. Rooster rescues and trades are considered.
Before starting a new chicken flock it is advised to minimally:
1) Do some research on chicken keeping (including any local laws to owning chickens),
2) Build their coop and run,
3) Displensers for food and water ready,
4) Have enough suiotable feed and water to last a week,
5) Have nesting boxes available if applicable,
6) Procure winter gear applicable to your flock and equipment
